Blockbilby Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 1 May 2026

This Privacy Policy (“policy”) outlines and explains how the Blockbilby Service (the “Service”), its operators, contributors, and service providers (“Blockbilby”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), collect, handle, store, and transmit your data.

This Privacy Policy is effective as of 1 May 2026. If you have any questions regarding this Policy or wish to submit a formal notice, claim, or inquiry, you may contact us at privacy@blockbilby.com.

If you are below the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you represent that you have the consent and authority of a parent or legal guardian of such an age, and that they have reviewed this Policy on your behalf.

1. Our Commitment to Privacy

At Blockbilby we respect user privacy and understand its importance, which is why we aim to be as transparent as possible in this document.

We collect minimal information from you for the sole purpose of improving and providing you with the best level of service possible. Wherever possible, we’ll proactively remove, aggregate, or anonymize your personal information if it can be.

The security of your personal information is of utmost priority to us, which is why we have implemented strict security policies and mechanisms.

We will never sell or rent your personal information under any circumstance. We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers (such as hosting, analytics, and email services) strictly as necessary to operate our Service.

You have the right to review and request the deletion of the information Blockbilby has collected about you at any point in time.

2. Eligibility

To use the Service, you must be at least 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone below the age of 13 and we’ll take reasonable steps to remove it in the event that we become aware that such data has been collected.

Additionally, if you are below the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you represent that you have obtained consent from a parent or legal guardian, and that they have reviewed and agreed to this Policy on your behalf.

3. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to operate and improve the Service. This information can be separated into the following categories:

In order to access all features of the Service, for example creating and saving projects, we’ll require you to create an account or sign in. If you do we’ll collect and store the following information:

This information will be treated in line with the data security practices outlined later in this document.

Project Data

When you create a project and as you work on it, we’ll save the project’s data to our servers. This data will be linked to your account and includes without limitation:

Once your project is published, we’ll also store:

Artworks

When you create artworks on the Service, we’ll store them along with relevant metadata such as:

Likes & Awards

When you like or award a project, comment, or artwork, we’ll store your identifier, along with the timestamp of when you performed the action, and the project, comment, or artwork you performed the action on.

Moderation

In order to maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming community for all members, most user-generated content is reviewed by our moderators to ensure it complies with our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. This moderation process is initiated when the resource or content is created, updated, or flagged by the community.

Depending on the risk factor, the moderation process either occurs behind the scenes, with the resource being pre-approved and public while it awaits moderation (e.g. projects), or hidden until it’s explicitly approved by the moderation team. These moderation entries will be linked to your account indefinitely, unless your account is deleted or we otherwise choose to remove them. We retain these records so that in the event that we deem a resource to be in violation of the Terms of Service or Community Guidelines, we can decide on what further action to take depending on past records and incidents.

These moderation entries will contain relevant timestamps, the identifier of the owner of the resource, the resource, and internal review metadata (e.g. the type of review, its status, the reviewer, etc.).

Comments

When you make a comment on a project or artwork, we’ll store relevant information such as:

If you wish to exercise these rights, you may contact us at privacy@blockbilby.com and allow us a reasonable timeframe to respond.

9. Security Practices

At Blockbilby, we prioritize security and we’re completely transparent about it.

Your password is secured using industry-standard cryptographic hashing algorithms that are designed to make it extremely difficult and computationally expensive to recover the original value. As a result, passwords are not stored in plain text and are not directly accessible.

To secure your password further and protect it from brute-force attacks, we use specifically the EKS Blowfish algorithm with a cost factor of 12. This means that your password receives 4096 (212) rounds of hashing.

Additionally, we work with infrastructure providers to provide network-level security, including:

While we prioritize security and take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. In the event that we detect a breach, we’ll take appropriate steps to rectify it and notify affected users.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to accurately reflect changes to our Service, its policies, or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise this page to reflect the latest version and, where appropriate, provide additional notice through channels such as email or through the Service.

The most current version of this Policy will always be available on this page. Your continued use of the Service after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
